Game of the Week – Middletown at Linganore

We are headed to Frederick County again for our Game of the Week as No. 2-ranked Linganore (6-0) host No. 20 Middletown (5-1) on Friday night!
This marks the second consecutive season that the matchup between the Lancers and Knights will be featured as our Game of the Week, as we covered last year’s 40-34 double-overtime victory for Linganore at Middletown.
Outside of a 9-point 36-27 victory in Week 1 over Mervo, Linganore has won every game by 30 points or more this season, and has allowed no more than 14 points in any other game. The Lancers are coming off of a dominant 45-14 win over cross-county rival, Oakdale. Linganore is currently on a 20-game regular season winning streak, and, including playoffs, has won 28 of its last 30 games, with the only two losses coming in the 2023 and 2024 State Championship games. The Lancers have also not lost a home game since October 28, 2022.
The Knights, who are 2-0 in our two games we have covered them this season, have won two games in a row, including a 42-7 victory last week over Brunswick. Middletown is looking to pick up its first win over Linganore since the 2022 season.
Kickoff is set for 6:30 pm, and we will be live at Linganore High School in Frederick on Friday night!
