Game of the Week – Milford Mill at Linganore

November 26, 2025

One of the most anticipated potential playoff matchups in the state of Maryland this season has been voted as our Game of the Week as Linganore (11-0) hosts Milford Mill (10-0) in the MPSSAA Class 3A State Semifinals.

With four undefeated teams heading into the 3A playoffs, there was a distinct that all of them would face off against each other in the playoffs even before the championship round. And with both South River and Guilford Park being eliminated in the quarterfinals, Linganore and Milford Mill are the remaining two unbeaten teams.

Linganore enters this game having allowed only 12 points over its past four games, and has not yet allowed a point in the postseason, defeating North Hagerstown and City College 42-0 and 43-0, respectively. The Lancers have allowed more than two touchdowns only two times this season. Linganore allowed 27 points in a season-opening win over Mervo, and 42 points in a 56-42 shootout victory over Middletown.

The Millers, meanwhile, have allowed only 53 points for the entire season, and allowed a season-high 14 points in their quarterfinal victory over Edgewood. The matchup against Edgewood represented the fewest points scored by Milford Mill all season, with only 26 points. The Millers defense has shutout its opponents five different games this season.

Milford Mill is looking to advance to the state championship game for the first time since 2022, while the Lancers are attempting to make it to the championship game for the third consecutive year, and seventh time in the last eight years. The game will kickoff at 6:00 pm on Friday night from Linganore High School, where we will be live on the sidelines!
