Game of the Week – Paint Branch vs Flowers

Our Game of the Week is Paint Branch vs Flowers in the Class 4A playoffs quarterfinals!
Paint Branch earned the 2-seed in 4A following the re-seeding following the regionals round, while Flowers secured the 7-seed.
The two teams last met in the quarterfinals of the 4A playoffs in 2022. Flowers defeated Paint Branch, 28-6, en route to the state championship game that season.
Paint Branch remains undefeated this year in games in which it actually played. Its only loss came via forfeit in the first game of the season against Northwood. Flowers has had two setbacks this season: one to Prince George’s County rival Wise, and one to DC’s Friendship Collegiate.
Both teams average nearly identical points per game scored and allowed this season. Flowers averages 33 points scored to 9 points allowed, and Paint Branch averages a 31-9 score.
Kickoff is set for Friday evening at 6:30pm from Paint Branch HS in Burtonsville. We will be live on the field covering the game across our social media platforms!
