Game of the Week – Stephen Decatur at Guilford Park

In a game that should be better suited for a state championship matchup than a game in the regional playoffs, Guilford Park (10-0) hosts Stephen Decatur (8-1) in our Game of the Week!
For the second time this season, we will be headed to Guilford Park for our Game of the Week, with the prior game coming as a 38-7 Panthers win over Howard. The Panthers are coming off of a 48-0 win over Chopticon in the first round of the playoffs which was their first ever playoff win in school history. Guilford Park has allowed only 7 points over its last three games, which include the wins over Chopticon and Howard bookending a 46-0 victory over Long Reach.
Stephen Decatur enters Friday’s game coming off of a 42-12 win over Reservoir at home last weekend. The Seahawks are on an 8-game winning streak this season, after dropping their opening game of the year to Wicomico. Overall, Decatur has won 36 of its last 37 games dating back to the 2023 season, including each of the last two 2A state championships.
The winner of this game will advance to the state semifinals next weekend in what is shaping up to be a stacked 3A class this season. Kickoff is set for 6:00 pm, and we will be live at Guilford Park High School in Jessup on Friday night!
