A rivalry between two teams with a long history and one that doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon. Gonzaga High School will compete against Dematha Catholic High School. A game, or “THE JUCIE” as most people would say, that consistently attracts interest and vigor. It appears that these two teams have been rivals since the time of Christ, and the games have always been exciting. Gonzaga is 5-1 while Dematha is 5-0. Both groups have a chance to take home the WCAC Championship. The stags just defeated Rock Creek by a score of 42-0. Gonzaga just defeated Friendship Collegiate Academy by a score of 17–14. Friendship is one of the finest teams in the Washington, D.C., area right now. Football in the DMV is always entertaining, even more fun when these two teams math up. It will be a show to see and you don’t want to miss this one.
