Oakland Mills Runs Over Glenelg in 50-6 Rout

October 4, 2025

COLUMBIA, Md. — Oakland Mills (5-0) scored early and often on Friday night as the Scorpions ran all over the Glenelg (4-1) defense en route to a 50-6 win in a Howard County showdown of undefeated teams.

The Scorpions pounded the ball on the ground throughout the entire game, and had four different players who scored rushing touchdowns. Quarterback Taamir Oliver had three rushing touchdowns, and Kasen Bien Aime tallied two, while two other players notched one each.

While Oakland Mills was dominant in the end, the game began on very uncertain terms. Oakland Mills received the opening kickoff, and fumbled immediately on its first play of the game. Glenelg recovered the loose ball, and then two plays later fumbled themselves, and the Scorpions recovered. Both teams traded punts after that, as the defenses were in control early on.

But the Scorpions would get on the board first, as Oliver broke free on a 69-yard run on 4th down to find the end zone. The extra point was added by Miles Bickell, and Oakland Mills took an early 7-0 lead. After the score, the Scorpions attempted a surprise onside kick, and were successful in the recovery, so they immediately took possession right back. They would take advantage, scoring on a 46-yard run by Shaevon Scott. Oliver ran in the two-point conversion, and the Scorpions went up 15-0 at the end of the first quarter.

Oakland Mills added two more scores before halftime. Kasen Bien Aime scored from 23 yards out, and, after an interception and long return by Tyler Rabey, Oliver scored on the next play from 5 yards away, giving the Scorpions a 29-0 lead at halftime.

Glenelg’s lone possession that ended in points came to begin the second half. The Gladiators received the kickoff to begin the third quarter, and took nearly 7 minutes to drive down the field. Facing 4th down from the 17 yard line, quarterback Patrick Masterman rolled out to his right and found receiver Kyndell Owens in the corner of the end zone for a touchdown. The extra point was blocked, however, making the score 29-6.

With as slow and methodically as Glenelg moved the ball on offense, Oakland Mills did the exact opposite. Two minutes later, the Scorpions were back in the end zone again on the legs of Oliver, who scored this time from 16 yards away. Oakland Mills took a 36-6 lead into the final quarter.

Two more times in the fourth quarter, the Scorpions crossed the goal line: once on a 58-yard run by Bien Aime, which triggered a running clock, and the last one on the final play of the game from 57 yards away by Jaxon Paul, to push the final score to 50-6.

Oakland Mills takes its undefeated record into next week against another unbeaten Howard County foe, as the Scorpions travel to Guilford Park. Glenelg will look to bounce back next week as the Gladiators host 5-0 Howard.
